Gerald "Todd" McNab ('64) was a George Mason standout in football and baseball, receiving Division I college scholarship offers in both sports. In football, he was 5th in a consecutive string of outstanding George Mason running backs and rushed for over 1,000 in each of his junior and senior years and, from his tailback position, passed for multiple touchdowns as well. In baseball, George Mason coaches Tom Christie and Jack Gambill considered him one of the best players and most fearsome right handed hitters that they coached during their distinguished careers. Todd later played intercollegiate baseball for two years at what is now Memphis State Univ. and then signed with the Cincinnati Reds and played a year for their Appalachian Rookie League franchise.
