Jack Gambill (Coach)

Coach Jack Gambill retired in 1994 after 36 years at George Mason, where he was the Athletic Director and coached football, basketball, and baseball during his tenure. In 22 years of coaching baseball at George Mason, Jack amassed a total of 236 wins and 73 losses, including one Virginia State Championship, three regional championships, seven district championships and three district co-championships. From 1978 until 1983, his baseball team had a 53-game home winning streak. Jack was twice named Northern Region Baseball Umpires Coach of the Year and was selected District Baseball Coach of the Year four times. His Football teams won or tied for the District Championship in football four times.
